Wether you can updater or not will depend on your model / year of Mac.

10.13 High Sierra is compatible with the following Macs:

  • MacBook (Late 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
  • iMac (Late 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)

You can download High Sierra from How to download macOS - Apple Support

Or buy clicking here: High Sierra 10.13

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and then on the download link for a more-recent OS. A 27-inch iMac can be upgraded at least as far as High Sierra.

Catalina and higher won't run 32-bit software; if you upgrade to one of them, use Go64 as well.
