MacBook Pro Webcam is Glitching/Flickering like CRAZY.

As you can see above, this is what my webcam "FaceTime HD Camera" looks like whenever I open it, whether it is on Zoom, OBS, Photo Booth. It just starts glitching/flickering like crazy and I don't know how to fix it. I don't believe I have damaged my MacBook in any way really, but I really need my camera for Zoom meetings and etc. I just updated my software to see if it would solve it, but that does not seem to be the case. Some help and guidance would be appreciated!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Updating your MacBook Pro was a great step to attempt. To help further isolate a possible software conflict as the root cause for this issue, we recommend that you start up in safe mode. Steps on how to start up in safe mode can be found here: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Apple silicon

1.) Shut down your Mac.

2.) Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.

3.) Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”

4.) Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

Depending on your results, follow the steps under “If the issue continues in safe mode” or “If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode”.

If this unique issue with your camera continues to occur, even after following these steps, you might need to reach out to Apple Support for help. They will need to evaluate your MacBook Pro. You can use this link to reach them: Get Support
