Album organization on Mac not syncing with Photos on iPhone.

I edit and organize photos on my MacBook Pro and put selects in a "SELECTS" album. When I go to that album in the photos app on my iPhone, it is not synced with the album on the Mac. Some photos are missing, some are not in the order they are organized on the Mac, etc. Sometimes, it will eventually sync a couple hours later. One time recently it synced right away. MacBook and iPhone are on the same WiFi and I'm pretty sure I have all of the settings I need checked to get them to stay in sync. Any ideas?

TIA, Keith

Hi mudshark73,

There are options to sync Photos across devices, including iCloud Photo Library and syncing directly from the computer to the iPhone.

If you use iCloud Photo Library per Organize photos and videos in albums on iCloud.com "When you organize photos and videos in an album in Photos on iCloud.com, those changes appear on any of your devices that have iCloud Photos turned on."

If you sync the devices directly, then per Sync photos between your Mac and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch "You can organize your photos in multiple folders within a folder and sync the folders to a device."

If you use iCloud Photos, it'll be necessary to ensure that feature is enabled for each device that you use to manage your photos. Timeframes to sync changes may depend on factors such as internet connection speed and the volume of changes to sync.

Cheers!
