Macbook pro M1 auto turn on when lid is closed

Hi ,

I am facing a weird issue with my Macbook Pro M1 (13 inch). The laptop seems to auto boot even when the lid is closed. This doesn’t seems to happen every time i shut down my laptop. I shut the laptop and keep it for some time (say 4-5 hours) and i can see the laptop autobooted and will see the login screen. (Expecting the apple logo instead). Did some initial research and i turned off bluetooth and the "Wake for network access". But still the issue seems to persist. I am on MacOS Ventura (13.2). I started facing this issue in MacOS 12.6 and later. Did try reinstalling the OS but no luck. There seems to be some background activity going on since I can see the battery is draining as well even i keep it in sleep mode.

Is anyone else facing similar issue with the Macbook M1 ? I get mixed opinion as this is a hardware issue or software.

Please let me know if there is any fix available for this issue..

Ran the command

 pmset -g log | grep -w Charge | more

It seems the laptop is waking up quite often even the lid is closed.
