Does anyone out there use Garageband guitar effects EQ etc. as an effects device while playing live, not recording. Send the monitor signal to a mixer board channel, not the headphones?
How about playing a pre recorded track and playing guitar along with it at the same time for a live performance?

Actually the best Apple app for live performance is Mainstage. It can be downloaded from the Mac App Store.
"MainStage has something for every kind of performer. You can use all your favorite instrument and effect plug-ins from Logic Pro. Simplify setup and teardown. Sound as big as you want with backing tracks. And use all your favorite hardware controllers."

There isn't any place in GarageBand or MainStage that allows you to browse or share/sell projects. You can share projects with another device or with another person though.

There may be some sort of 3rd party site that people use to share or sell projects they've created, but there's none directly from Apple. Your best bet is to do a web search for something along the lines of "GarageBand project downloads" and see if any sites exist that have what you're looking for.

Very interesting. Thank you. Could you please tell me if the following description is available for MainStage or Garageband... anywhere:
Song downloads that are not mp3 files but projects still separated in tracks that were created with GarageBand and can be edited with GarageBand. Not loops of instruments nor a single track that is a merge of a project. I suspect must be in the .band file format.
In other words projects for sale or free to download into GarageBand and be able to edit it. Is there a site where people share projects or sell them?
