Files get corrupt on external APFS formatted drives

Hello everybody,

since the APFS format came out I'm getting regularly corrupted files on external SSD's format in the this file system. Usually it happens to files which I didn't touch for a longer time. I already switched one SSD to HFS+ because of this and since that time I had no issues.

Today I wanted to copy a file which was on my external working SSD for quite a while and I got the message that "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 100083)." And this happend already several times. So I find the APFS file system to be buggy and I think it should be reported.

Did anybody else experience such problems?

Thanks for the answer - I actually never used any Torrent application, so that is not a solution to me. And I don't have problems with copying of every file - just the ones, which are stored for a longer time on external SSD's, formatted with APFS. It doesn't hapen on those SSD's which I reformatted from APFS to HFS+, so it is definitely a matter related to APFS. And the files are corrupt where they are - such video files can't even be played back. I have such experience just with video files - I haven't noticed any problems with other file types, which is also weird. But video files form 90% of the content of the external SSD's, as I use them for video editing.
