There is no disk to select, select where you want to install OS X

I just got my macbook pro back from a harddrive repair and it was reported to have been working fine. So, I start it up and it takes me to Mac OS X instalation screen (The Snowlepard disk is in it) and I select a language and then agree to the terms and service. It then takes me to a screen that says "Install Mac OSX" as a title and below it says "Select the disk where you want to install Mac OS X". The only thing is there isn't any thing to select from.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

Hello tajamal64,

From the Mac OS X Utilities window, let's choose the Disk Utility option to see if your disk is appearing there.

If your disk is listed there, you may need to erase and format it using the steps below before you can install Mac OS X:

1. Select Macintosh HD in the sidebar of Disk Utility. Don't see Macintosh HD?
2. Click the Erase button in the toolbar, then enter the requested details:
• Name: Macintosh HD
• Format: APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled), as recommended by Disk Utility
3. Click Erase Volume Group. If this button isn't shown, click Erase instead.
4. If asked, enter your Apple ID. Forgot your Apple ID?
5. Optional: If you previously used Disk Utility to add internal volumes other than Macintosh HD, you can erase them individually using the same process.
6. When done, quit Disk Utility to return to the utilities window.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Use Disk Utility to erase an Intel-based Mac - Apple Support

Hopefully that puts you on the path to getting Mac OS X installed.

Take care.
