Watch 8 Swimming Activity Inaccurate Measurement

For a Pool Swim activity, my Watch 8 (OS 9.3) is not counting swimming laps properly. I have tried reset, erase calibration data and unpair options already, they did not help. Any idea how I can troubleshoot and solve this issue. I still did not calibrate with Outdoor Walk or Run, will update here if I see any difference.

Apple watch series 8 swim problems I recently got the new apple watch series 8, and I mainly got the watch for tracking my swim, as I broke my series 3 a few months ago and missed having something to track heart rate and other things. Everyday I go to swim practice, but at the end of the practice it counts almost all my yards as breaststroke, when I mostly did free. While swimming laps my watch stops displaying the lap count and shows the activity rings instead. What do I do to keep the laps counted instead? How do I prevent my Apple Watch 5 from switching to displaying the Activity rings instead of laps swum during indoor swimming workout? I want to see my laps swum only.

Apple Watch Series 8 has suddenly started undercounting pool laps When I started using my Apple Watch when swimming laps in the pool, it counted laps (lengths) correctly. But after a month of swimming, with nothing else changing, it has started undercounting my laps, initially by just 2 laps, and then by 6, and the latest is by 18 laps! I swim the front crawl in a 25m pool and I always do 40 laps (1000m). I stress - nothing has changed in the way I’m swimming - why would it do it correctly for a few weeks and then in the last week start under counting? The timer is correct - I usually finish 40 laps in 31 to 33 minutes. Is my accelerometer broken? I’ve tried re-starting the watch but it’s made no difference.
