It is a Scam:

What you are reporting is a scam. So, report it to Apple (and to your federal government, if desired) modify your credentials.

Do as I've Instructed here: Using the Photos App to Report Scams - User Tips

Did you Interact with it?

If you did not interact with the messages, then you can ignore it. If you did (i.e. Provide personal info), then you may need to take thinks a step further.

Modifying your Credentials:

Having so much suspicion, consider modifying your credentials, ASAP, starting with a new password.

If you are describing a Notification at the upper right of your Mac's screen, the following excerpt from Effective defenses against malware and other threats - Apple Community probably explains it:

  • Beware spontaneously appearing, unsolicited popups demanding immediate action. Think before you click.

When a webpage offers to send you Notifications it's usually best to decline the offer. Most of them are needless and annoying.

A Notification by itself can do nothing, nor can the webpage that loads when you click it. All it can do is cause needless concern in an effort to convince you to install something on your Mac and (perhaps) extort money from you to fix it. That's the threat. "Just say no" slams the door on that threat.
