Mailbox number for voicemail

I have a new iPhone 14 and when I call the voicemail it says "welcome to the message management system, please enter your mailbox number," I googled it and someone said to enter my whole phone number but that did not work. Any help?

Voicemail is provided by your carrier, contact them.
