For some strange reason the iCloud drive option disappeared from my files app and I can no longer access files that are uploaded to iCloud. How can I fix this problem?

Logging on to the iCloud website via iPhone or iPad used to be impossible! It would just redirect you to the app!

Did you tap the “drop down” arrow, next to “Locations” in the Files app?
It may appear as though iCloud is missing, but the list just isn’t shown.
There’s also the “…” icon on the top right of the screen. That lets you edit the order and availability of each Favorite location as well as Locations, in general.

There is a small chance that it was turned "off".
Go into Settings
Tap on your name at the top.
Tap iCloud
Tap iCloud Drive
Turn it "On", to sync with your iPhone.

Yes they are in fact even if I go into iCloud drive setting on my iPhone there is an option "manage storage" and all my files are listed there. Only problem is I can't access them through that only delete them. In my files app, I cloud drive option is fully missing.
So I guess logging into iCloud.com via safari on my iPhone gets me access to all of my files stored on iCloud. that I have to do this extra step but it is what it is at this point.

Check it out, the whole interface is different now, it's actually not too bad. Then if I really need a file I can just download it straight from there and on to my iPhone storage, so it's not too bad.
Still curious why iCloud drive made an exit out of my files app though, hopefully maybe an update will fix it eventually but I'm not holding my breath. iOS 16 has been a disaster for me.
It's on. and I tried turning it off and restarting my phone and logging back in same problem. Also it shows up on my iPad and on my MacBook but not on my iPhone.
Is iCloud Drive and all of your saved files available on any other device (including the website on a computer… www.iCloud.com … this link won’t work on a mobile device)?
Just looked at it! It really is well designed! And it’s really interesting that the website works on mobile devices now!
