Not turning on without charger

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows what to do when your MacBook Pro (2020) 13-inch won't turn on without being connected to a charger?

Even if there is still enough battery, my laptop will just not turn on anymore until it is connected to the charger and will then show a battery percentage of like 80%. When I try to turn it on I can see the light of the keyboard turning on and off, but the screen will stay completely dark. It has been this way now for a couple of months but I can't take it anymore, I hope someone knows how to fix this.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.0

About the only thing you can try with an M1 laptop is to "Restore" the firmware. This process requires access to another Mac running macOS 10.15+ and will also destroy all data on the SSD so make sure to have a good backup first.

Revive or restore a Mac with Apple silicon using Apple Configurator - Apple Support

If this does not help, then you will need to have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate.
