Photo App

Since installing Montery (and subsequently Ventura) I have had issues when downloading pictures to the Photo App and using iMovie. I have just downloaded over 600 pictures from a single camera and when I go into the Photos app they're completely out of numeric order. How do I overcome this?

Keeping photos in order when creating a slide show This is a frequent question--but the old answer no longer works--at least for me. I'm trying to create a slide show in a certain order. PHOTOS keeps changing the order--even though I use the technique of control clicking the album and choosing CREATE SLIDESHOW via that path. Nevertheless, it changes the order. Does Apple deliberately not fix this problem? GRRRR.

my Imovie doesn't work right First of when I try to enter my pictures in the movie in a block they continue to come in at the wrong order so instead of from old to new the come in from new to old so since I want the movie to start with the oldest pictures and then end with the newest pictures I have to add one picture at the time, that can take a long time. At the same time some of the pictures are fine when I see them in the movie library but when I try to add them to the movie they go all black. I'm using MacOS monterey version 12.6.8 I don't know what happened I used to have a lot of fun making movies of our family pictures but it just isn't that much fun any more. I hope someone can help me.

Create a smart album with this criteria:

This will show all photos and videos in the library. Then you can set the sort order to be by Title. This screenshot shows all of the various views available in a Photos library and the sort order possible in those views:
