Disable Autoplay next episode in Apple TV app

How come there is no option to disable autoplay next episode in Apple TV app.

this is very basic and found on all streaming services.

i found numerous posts about this and no one from Apple really cared to answer

Disable AutoPlay on Apple TV+ ? There still does not seem to be an option to disable Auto Play on Apple TV+ and it is SO frustrating. Every other streaming platform has this. Why does Apple refuse?? I like to watch television before falling asleep, so when the series auto-plays for 4-5 episodes and then I have to navigate back the next day, it is super inconvenient, not to mention defeats the purpose of their "Up Next" feature, which in and of itself needs work. For the sake of asking a question and not just complaining...Has anyone found a way to disable auto play??

How stop auto play of episodes when watching a series in a browser? How stop auto play of episodes when watching a series in a web browser? There have been answers that point to settings / accessibility in the app. But there is no such setting in the browser version. I have subscriptions to several other streaming services, all of which I access and watch using a web browser, and have done for many years. The other services provide auo-play that can be easily disabled through the always on-screen setting icon, or more inconveniently by exiting the current series and accessing the settings from the home screen. But at least it can be done in *every other* online streaming service. Why is apple tv+ so backwards and behind-the-curve in this respect? (I will shortly be deciding whether or not to continue my subscription).
