Family Share Organizer Name incorrect

Reopening a thread that seemed to affect many people but no answers were posted.

On my Mac (Ventura 13.1), at times it randomly shows my wife's picture when I log in. I still log in using my credentials which work. When this happens, Safari wants to autofill her email address, etc. When I go to System Preferences, I see my picture and name correctly. When I select family, it shows my 2 children, my wife, and then my wife with (me) in parentheses and her listed as organizer when in fact I am. I'm attaching a screen shot to help clarify:

On my iPhone and iPad, everyhing shows up correctly.

This behaviour is inconsistent - sometimes it's correct and sometimes it's not. Any suggestions?

Hello PeterORiordan,

Updating to the latest available version of macOS Ventura can help to ensure the latest fixes/improvements have been applied to the Mac. Currently the latest version is macOS 13.2, and this page can help with updating if needed: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

Before following these steps, it's a good idea to back up your Mac.
1. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings or System Preferences.
•If you chose System Settings, click General on the left side of the window. Then click Software Update on the right.
•If you chose System Preferences, click Software Update in the window.
2. Software Update then checks for new software.
•If Software Update finds new software, click the button to install it. The button might be named Update Now, Upgrade Now, Install Now, or Restart Now, for example. You might then be asked to enter your administrator password.
•If Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, then no new software is currently available for your Mac model. Software Update shows only software that is compatible with your Mac.

Restarting the device may also help with some odd behaviors that come up: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

It may also help to try forcing your Apple ID's name to update by first selecting your name at the top of System Settings > Name, Phone, Email > Edit (next to Name), and then re-enter the details and click Save.

Cheers.

Thanks Eric. I upgraded to the latest Ventura - 13.2; the problem still exists. (This used to happen even before I upgraded to Ventura.) I tried editing my name as you suggeted - that didn't help either.

Rebooting sometimes fixes the problem and sometimes doesn't. The upgrade to 13.2 involved a reboot but the problem persisted afterwards. I also tried rebooting before I posted the question and it still showed the same problem.

It's definitely unique to my Mac; both the iPhone and iPad show my picture correctly and have the correct settings for the Family share. What's really annoying is that Safari tries to autofill my wife's email address and/or phone numbers when I'm filling out forms, so it's more than just a picture problem.
