Watch credits on Apple TV (iPhone)

Hi,

so I enjoy watching the credits after a movie or episode but Apple won’t let me. How can I watch the credits on my iPhone, it just opens the split screen and counts down the seconds to the next episode - photo attached. If I click on the small window it goes back to the show but paused. if I then click on play the countdown resumes. It’s super annoying.

Also, why isn’t there an option to turn off Auto-Play altogether?

Thank you!

Hi there Ben_AT_VIE,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

At the end of an episode, the credits will play and the episode will minimize into the upper right corner of the Apple TV app. In the upper left corner of this minimized window should be two arrows. If you tap these arrows, it should bring the episode back to the foreground and continue playing so you can view the credits. If the episode has paused, you should be able to tap it to get it to play again. It is expected that the auto-play countdown will begin after pressing play at this time.

If this is not happening for you, please perform the following steps. They will help to isolate the issue further, and get us on a path to resolution:

  1. Close the Apple TV app: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support and restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. See if this behavior persists with another TV show.
  3. Make sure you are running the latest version of iOS, which will also ensure you have the latest version of the Apple TV app: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Additionally, it is not currently possible to disable auto-play on the Apple TV app in iOS. If you'd like to see this as an option in future iterations of the Apple TV app, you can let the appropriate teams at Apple know by leaving your feedback here: Feedback - Apple TV App - Apple

Have a great weekend.
