M1 iMac 2021 flickering when zooming

Hi everyone,

since a couple of weeks I sometimes get a flickering screen when I zoom in or out on screen with the normal accessibility feature. It usually happens with brighter backgrounds. The screen doesn't flicker back and forth from an entirely on and off version, but rather from a bright and dark version of whatever I'm looking at. At a rate of probably 5 times per second. It usually ends when I zoom further in or out, but often keeps me from remaining at the zoom level I would have preferred (which is not always the same one).

I've come across the fact that there seems to be issues with external monitors. However, this is happening with the normal built-in screen.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.
