I watch vibrating but not showing alerts

I got an iPhone 14 and ever since, my watch will vibrate when I get a message or notification, but when I raise my watch to look at it, nothing shows. No matter what the alert is, it doesn’t show. I can’t even scroll down on the watch to see what the alert was, I have to open my phone. I have checked the notifications in the watch app. I have reset it. I have restarted it. I have forgotten the device and reconnected. Nothing will work. I’m out of ideas.

Hi there Kbr38,

If you are not seeing notifications on your Apple Watch, first ensure you used this article to adjust your notification settings in the Watch app on your iPhone as well as on the Apple Watch itself: Change notification settings on Apple Watch

If everything is set up correctly, update your Apple Watch and the iPhone it is paired to to the latest versions of watchOS and iOS. This installs feature improvements and bug fixes that can resolve unexpected behavior like this. These show how to back up and update:

Update your Apple Watch

Update your iPhone or iPad

After updating, check to see if this continues to occur. If you are still not receiving notifications as expected on your Apple Watch, then Apple Support would be the best equipped to look into this further. Connect with them here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Cheers!
