Failed to load resource: The network connection was lost - iOS 16.3

We have recently started to observe an issue with the Safari users on iOS - possibly related to the latest iOS update on January 23, 2023. The pre-flight requests are coming through but they are not finished. There is an error in console which says - "Failed with network connection lost".

I’m getting following message quite often on WiFi and cellular data. “Safari can't open the page because the server can't be found.“ “Safari can't open the page because the server can't be found.” this is happening too often now. What’s wrong?

safari not loading I recently updated to IOS 16.5 and and since then, my safari has stopped working. I’ve cleared all cache and data and it still isn’t working. I can open the app however when I go to search anything it stays blank. I’ve reset my main network as safari works when connected to a different network however, that did not help anything. It was working when I was using IOS15 just a few days ago (minus a few bugs), can someone tell me why this may be happening?

Do the phones affected have VPN installed?
