SENT WITH SIRI

I didn’t even know this existed until my brother read a msg I sent him and then said “SENT WITH SIRI” I said WTF does that mean and he showed it to me. I then look at what I sent him and it wasn’t on my screen. I didn’t like the one that said sent from my iPhone and don’t like this! Need Apple to give me the option to turn this off!!!

I'm not sure if I fully understand but I am familiar with the phrase "Sent with Siri".

People that send me texts that they created using Siri (rather than typing with their thumbs) will show up with that phrase as an indication in case Siri botched the spelling of a name or even a word.

You are saying that the text isn't appearing on your phone, is that correct? I'm not sure how that is possible.

When I use Siri through CarPlay, I always see the text that I sent.

"Sent with Siri" is just so the recipient(s) know that it was sent via some sort of hands-free method where Siri did the typing.

I hope that this is an understandable explanation, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

Oh yes! They don't show "Sent with Siri" on our end, only on the recipients end so that they know it went that way and for the reasons of in case of misspelled names or words that sound the same but have different meanings and that might 'knot' go with the rest of the text.

Personally, I appreciate that feature going out to the recipient, it let's them know that I'm not as dumb as the text might sound 😂

Edit - To answer your question more directly, you can't shut it off. If I could, I still wouldn't. ;-)
