Can’t update payment details

My card has recently expired, but I can’t add a new payment method.

it is asking me to verify my old card (which obviously doesn’t work). It is also not letting me delete my old card and add a new one.

I have cancelled all subscriptions to see if that helps but no luck. Any help would be great.

If you have active subscriptions, Apple requires you always have a card on file.

That is: an old card can not be deleted until you add a new one first.


Cancelling subscriptions won't take effect until the end of the subscription period ... that is: the subscriptions are still active until they have run out.


To check that your new card is one that Apple can accept in your country or region:
