Iphone 11 Pro Telephoto lens not working

When I zoom in on a subject anything past x2 and the screen freezes and does not switch to tele lens. Same in any camera mode. Anybody know of a fix please.

Why is my iPhone 15 Pro's 3x telephoto lens not activating in low light and experiencing severe shaking while zooming? I am facing an issue during camera lens switching and zooming on my iPhone 15 Pro that is related to a specific telephoto (3x) lens. Lens switching happens correctly in bright light conditions, but in low light or indoor conditions (like a gym or room), when I zoom 3x in video mode or photo mode, the device does not activate the telephoto lens and digital zoom happens from the main lens instead. I also manually tested it by blocking the lens with my finger — at 3x zoom, despite blocking the telephoto lens, the image or video does not turn black, which means the lens is not being used. In the same lighting conditions, the telephoto lens of my friend's identical iPhone 15 Pro is getting activated while it is not happening in my phone. This suggests that either the lens switching logic is working wrong in my device or there is a calibration issue of the telephoto lens. Apart from this, when I zoom more than 3x in video mode (or come back from max zoom to 3x), then I get to see noticeable camera shake or lens movement vibration-like effect, which does not seem like normal zooming behavior. I suspect either the lens stabilization is not working properly or there is some hardware calibration issue in the lens transition. I would like you to thoroughly check the device's lens switching behavior, telephoto activation in low light, lens calibration and OIS (optical image stabilization) working. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

iPhone 13 Pro telephoto not focusing Hello. Recently I noticed an issue with my iPhone 13 Pro camera. The telephoto (3x) lens doesn’t focus properly when I try to use the tal to focus function. Please take a look at the screen capture in the link below. When I tap to focus on a specific point - it tries to focus but in the end it can’t lock on. But when I wait for it to automatically refocus (it then uses the wide frame in the center) it focuses properly and quickly. Other cameras work OK. Tried restarting the phone, updating iOS - but nothing helps. If it was a mechanical issue I guess it wouldn’t focus at all. But it just fails to focus when I tap on the screen… Any ideas? Screen capture showing the issue

Have you tried a restart yet? This can resolve minor issues and is the recommended step here: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working.

Make sure your iPhone is also updated to iOS 16.3 to rule out the issue being related to an outdated version of macOS. Here's how to Update your iPhone or iPad.

Yes I've tried all that already but still not zooming. I've started upgrade to a 14 Pro Max now... 😊😊
