Notes toolbar missing

The toolbar for notes is missing on my Ipad. How do I get it back?

Missing Notes icon I can't see the Notes icon on my I-Phone 10. I can write new notes and see old ones, so I think the app is still there. I've tried the solutions I found in a Google search but nothing has worked. Any new ideas?

Perhaps you refer to the Notes sidebar. Swipe to the right from the left-edge of the Notes window.
