Hi 703beach,

Are you playing these movies on your computer directly, or are you exporting them or trying to play on an external display, like a tv? We ask to determine if there are potential compatibility issues.

In the meantime, you can try deleting and redownloading the affected movies. This will help us determine if the movie files are corrupted or damaged: Redownload TV shows and movies that you purchased - Apple Support.

Cheers!

Hi 703beach,

Where did these movies come from? Are they movies you purchases in iTunes on your HP laptop?

If you have any accessories plugged in or screen recording software open, try unplugging the accessories or closing the software.

Restart your PC and try again.

Let us know more about your situation so we can isolate a possible cause.

Hello 703beach,

To help resolve this issue, make sure your PC is up to date. Updates are crucial to the operation of your apps. Also, make sure you have the latest iTunes update:

Update to the latest version of iTunes for Windows 10 - Apple Support

If you downloaded iTunes from Apple's website
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Help > Check for Updates.
3. Follow the prompts to install the latest version.
If Check for Updates isn't an option in the Help menu, then you downloaded iTunes from the Microsoft Store.

Try playing videos in other apps to see if the same thing happens. This will let you know if the issue is just in the app or the movie.

Best Regards.
