- A person can use the Find My app on a device owned by someone in their Family Sharing group. Alternatively, anybody can sign into https://www.icloud.com/find to locate their device using a browser.

Troubleshooting a Lost iPhone

Use of Find My:

Is Find My enabled on it? Note that Find My can only be enabled directly on the iPhone. It cannot be enabled elsewhere. So, is it enabled on the iPhone?

So, what Else to Try:

• Dial it: See if it is heard ringing

• Ask Local Authorities: See if it has be hanged over.

• Text It: Ask whomever has come across it, to contact you.

• Ask Someone: See if someone you know (i.e. Friend, or Family Member) if that came across it.

• Backtrack your Locations: If you are at a coffee shop, or a library, stop by and see if it was safely placed aside.

Log on to any browser and type in www.icloud.com/find

Enter your friend's Apple ID and Password

If your friend enabled Find My on their phone.....and if the phone's battery has not run down....and if the phone has a connection to the Internet, it might appear on the Find My map.
