Playlists just does what it wants

Why does the iTunes/ Apple Music playlist jump around randomly when you try to add a song to a playlist or search for other songs. This is like getting so irritating because instead of finding the song I want in my playlist I have to find where the last song I was playing is at. This has been an issue for a while now you would think that this would’ve been fixed by now.
