email app issues on macOS Ventura

I restored my 13" MBP to factory settings - macOS 13.2 Ventura, apple silicone. Now email app abends immediately after opening. When I remove my ISP from internet accounts / email the email app runs fine for just iCloud email. When I restore back to factory again my ISP email works - until the next morning. I power the MBP down before bed and the next morning I boot MBP up and open the email app but now it crashes. No. other apps loaded only email. The only thing I can think of is I restored incorrectly - but I used apple step by step.

For problem accounts the go to way to sort things out is to delete the account(s) from the Mail.app, then add it back.

Note—

IMAP accounts stay on the server, so no local loss, when you re-sync

POP accounts download and remove from the server—therefor save your inbox/sent box if you want them

“On My Mac" is just that, local folders you created and moved mail into. So no loss
