Adding Games to Child’s Apple Watch

Greetings! How do I add games to my child’s Apple Watch? Their watch has cellular data, is tied to my family share plan. Addition of games is not one of the items listed as not being compatible with the family share plan. I’ve tried downloading games compatible with Apple Watches from the AppStore on the child’s watch and I’ve tried adding directly from my iPhone Watch app, but the games aren’t listed as options to add to their watch, only for mine.

Thank you for the timely reply. Exactly and for a child I wouldn’t want him glued to the tiny screen of his watch trying to ply complex games. The App Store does offer a few fun simple options that will work their brain and kill time on roadtrips such as Watch and Repeat, Pong, Mini Golf and Match’em. That said, I still can’t figure out how to download these options to the child’s watch!

Since you are using family setup for your childs watch, this may be another feature which won't work for their watch.

If you are in the US, call Apple directly at: 800-MY-APPLE and see if they can help, but I suspect, the limitation is the Family Setup feature, which limits things.

Unless you want something super simple like tic tac toe, Apple Watch doesn't exactly have a screen optimized to play games on. I am not aware you can add games to an Apple Watch, unless there is s 3rd party app, which has games optimized for the watch screen. But they too, would need to be pretty simple games, which are not graphic intensive or have sounds.
