Question

No SIM card detected on IPhone 11 with functioning SIM card.

In the past week, my phone suddenly stopped detecting it's sim card and shows "SOS only". After replacing it's SIM it continued to work until I restarted my phone and it bricked again. After going to the apple store, and after troubleshooting for hours, they told me their diagnostic tests all show that my phone is functional and the antenna is working. They recommended that I do a software reset and it hasn't made a difference.

TLDR: So functioning SIM, supposedly functioning hardware, and a software reset but IPhone is still not detecting a SIM card. Any ideas on what I can do? I'm contemplating rooting my phone and installing a older version of IOS.

You said you already replaced a SIM and ended up with the same result. So an eSIM might help, but I think it’s not too likely.

More likely solutions are either replacing the iPhone or replacing your cellular carrier. The latter may well work especially if your current carrier is not one of the major providers.

I've tried everything under "If you see 'invalid SIM' or 'no SIM' on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support" prior to the software reset, unfortunately nothing so far has made a difference.

That is both undesirable as well as impossible.

maybe still but why does your iPhone 11 not have a SIM card? Contact Apple Support and try troubleshooting. That way, you will know if there is a SIM card or not, if there is, then the iPhone 11 is fake, and it should be looked into

Excellent! What did Apple Support tell you when you contacted them? If all they told you is your diagnostic tests are good and do a reset, there’s not much else we can recommend other than contacting your cellular carrier.

If your iPhone is displaying the No SIM error, or you don't have any cellular bars when you should, try these steps, in this order, to fix the problem.

1. Remove the iPhone SIM card and reset it.

2. Restart iPhone.

3. Turn Airplane Mode On and Off.

4. Update iOS.

5. Make sure your phone account is valid.

6. Check for an iPhone Carrier settings update.

7. Test for a malfunctioning SIM card.

8. Contact Apple tech support.

Apple support told me that if the reset doesn't work then my next step would be to replace my phone. Unfortunately my cellular carrier hasn't been much help either and they had me do the same troubleshooting I did before.

Do you think changing to a eSIM would resolve this problem. I've looked into it and my phone and carrier supports eSIMs.
