Sidecar-iPad Screen logs out when cursor moves onto it

I just bought a new Mac and have a hard time using Sidecar. I have my iPad Pro next to my laptop. My laptop is hooked up to a left and right (dual screen setup) monitors.

When I go to an app on the right monitor and select move to iPad while right clicking on the green full screen button after about a second the app moves to my iPad. Yet as soon as I scroll to the right to move the cursor onto my iPad the iPad goes into sleep mode, the app goes back onto the right monitor.

If I have an app on the left monitor and choose to move it to the iPad it moves and I can move the cursor to the iPad and it doesn't shut down. The cursor appears on the left side of the iPad where the Sidecar controls are but if I move right onto the app I am unable to see the cursor.

Any idea what is causing this? It worked fine with my previous laptop.
