Macbook Pro starts if insert power cable

Hi everybody.

I have a MacBook Pro 2016 (touch bar) with MacOS Monterey 12.6.3.

It is set to start automatically when I open the lid.

If I shut down the mac and leave the lid opened, it restarts when I insert the power cable.

Is it normal?

This behaviour disappears if I disable the automatic start (with the terminal command sudo nvram AutoBoot=%00)

If it is not a normal behaviour, I have already tried to reset SMC, PRAM e have reinstalled MACOS, but nothing is changed.

Many thanks to leroydouglas.

I asked a couple of friends with MacBook Pro to test the same issue and they also confirmed it is normal.

The strange thing is that two days ago I have been on phone with Apple support and they tried to “solve” this problem!

anyway, everything is ok
