MacBook Pro Hinge Plastic coming off?

Recently noticed on my 16" M1 MBP, looks like the black plastic on the hinge is coming off, see video:

Screen/hinge still work fine so it's not a huge issue, just curious if anyone else's is doing the same and if this is fixable? I do not use the machine a lot and have been babying it since I got it.

Thanks for any insight!

Howdy cjbriare,

It sounds like you have questions about your MacBook Pro. We know how important this is for you, and we will help get you to the right place for answers.

We recommend that you have a service technician take a look at it. They will be able to determine if there is any issue and also be able to fix it if need be. More info can be found here: Mac Repair & Service - Apple Support

If you have access to an Apple-owned store, your appointment for an evaluation is free, in warranty or out.

Apple Authorized Service Providers may charge you an evaluation fee, to discourage frivolous use of their expensive technician time for complaints that do not result in user paid or Apple warranty repairs. if you have a repair made, they may be able to waive the evaluation fee.
