Family share

I have a family sharing account for my husband, my son, and myself. My dad just invited me to join his family share account. I would like to accept, so I can keep track of him with find my phone (he’s 86), but if I do does that end MY fam share?!

Two questions about family sharing, about location (Find my) and on-going subscriptions of family members (iCloud) I’m setting up family sharing and I noticed I can see the location of a family members phone in Devices tab, but not the persons location in the People tab. This family member has two phones, out of which only one is in use, the other one is not in use (but shows in the list). Is the People location trying to find the old phone and how can I make the newer phone the default for this member? The other question is about on-going, previous subscriptions. My wife and myself both have iCloud+ subscriptions, will she continue to pay her own sub even if I’m the organizer and I will share purchases mostly so that I can buy apps for kids. Is it possible for adults to have their own payments and purchases, but have me make purchases for kids? Thanks

Family sharing with two equal rights parents Is there a way to have two organizers on family sharing? I don’t want to disable purchase sharing as my daughters are on my family share. But buying “store credit” so my husband can purchase things using his own payment method seems to me to be an added inconvenience for something that should be a simple solution. Giving equal rights as organizers instead of just one organizer and an added adult would fix this issue. Or even just letting him select his own payment method if he is an adult on the account. He has now had to remove himself from family sharing just because of this silly oversight and now we can’t share location, I can’t see his devices on Find My, etc. I know this question has been asked multiple times in different ways over the last three years, at least, and yet Apple still hasn’t addressed it (to my knowledge). Seems like the only options I’ve seen are buy store credit or disband the family plan.

You can only be part of one family group at a time.

He does not have to be part of Family Sharing for you to track him, he just has to be a "friend".
