That is a little helpful but I still have to go to watch and select the Music app to see what is playing on the iPhone. I used to be able to touch the watch face (to wake it) and it would display the controls and what is playing without going into the Music app on the watch. There is obviously a setting somewhere that got changed when I did the software upgrades on both devices.

I forgot I turned off the feature to control music on my Apple Watch as I found it annoying.

But this link (not from Apple) will get them back for you --> https://ioshacker.com/how-to/turn-off-apple-watch-now-playing-music-controls

It tells you how to turn them off. But then you can also see how to turn them on.
