Access photos on an iPhone locked

Hi all,

here is my issue :

i have an iPhone of someone who passed away.

When consulting the iCloud it is connected to, it is obvious that this iPhone has not been backed up since a while. My purpose is to get the pictures from Photos on the iPhone back.

I don’t want to go through the back up process of Apple via an iMac because it will certainly erase everything on the iPhone and then back up from iCloud where there is no backup of these photos.

Is there a way to access the photos on this iPhone ?

Anyone who faced this issue ?

Does Apple has a solution for this kind of extreme situation ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Thanks Raicya,

im not sure to d’elle understand what Apple can do and can’t.

In the event the iPhone is locked with its 6 digits password, can Apple access it or not without erasing all ?

it seems they say it will erase everything.

What is your understanding ?
