Projector Display not working with IOS 16.3 and iPad

No projector display with IOS 16.3 from iPad 7th generation. Have been using this iPad for 3 years connected to a golf simulator projector with a lightning to HDMI connector. No longer works with IOS 16.3 update. Will still work with an older iPad using IOS 9.6.3. Any suggestions?

Good afternoon Dpelham,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you are having issues using your iPad 7th gen with a projector, and we'd like to help.

Can you provide a little more information about what you are experiencing?

How long has this been going on?

Have you tried a "reset" of the connection?

  1. Turn off the projector
  2. Detach the iPad
  3. Restart the iPad
  4. Connect the iPad to the projector
  5. Restart the projector

What is the make and model of the projector you are using?  Have you checked with the manufacturer to see if there is an update for it?

What is the make and model of the Lightning cable, HDMI cable, and connector/adapter?

Have you tried a different cable or adapter?

Your responses to these questions will help us understand the issue better and work towards a resolution with you.
