How can I hide ‘other wifi networks’ so that they don't show up when I click on the wifi icon?

iOS/iPadOS doesn’t provide any method by which “other networks” can be hidden from view in settings. The “other networks” are the WiFi networks that have been detected by - and are within range of - the device.
