How to mark a book as finished if the book won’t close

When I finish a book it does not mark itself as finished, I can not get out of the book to go to my library, it keeps me locked into the book. 🤪

Trying to close a book and get back to the library or store in updated Books app Since the latest updates, I absolutely hate the Books app (and it sounds like that’s a common theme). But the absolute worst thing is that I can’t figure out how to get it to close a book, so for example to close what you’re currently reading (whether book or sample) and get back to the library or store. How to close a book book on iPad using iBook The Apple iPad book app does not allow me to close a book I have finished reading. In the past at the end of the book I could swipe from right to left and the book would close. This is not the case now. I currently reboot the iPad to solve this problem I find it extremely annoying.

How can I re read I book from beginning? My I books open at end of book when I want to re read them I want tore read Peppermint murders book and it opens at the end instead of first page. I have no direct way on the page to get back to page 1.

Tap in the middle of the book to bring up x, top right. Tap on x to close the book.
