iTunes only syncing some songs to iPhone 13 Pro

I have a late 2013 iMac, along with an early 2011 MacBook. I no longer use the MacBook and have put my entire ITunes library on my iMac. In recent years, I have had no issue syncing songs from my iMac to my various iPhones. I upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro a year ago and just kept the songs that were on my IPhone 11 on my new phone. A month ago, I decided to update the songs (add/remove) I have on my iPhone 13 and while I was able to sync some songs, others will not show up my phone. When looking at music that’s on my phone within iTunes, it shows all song synced, but when I look at music on my phone there are files missing. The songs that are missing are all songs that I imported into iTunes years ago from CDs. I do not use Apple Music or share music across devices. I’ve update iTunes to as current as possible as well.

Any ideas why songs won’t sync to my iPhone?

Hi stephwiewel,

We're here to help you with syncing your Apple Music library across your devices.

Assuming you're running macOS 10.15 Catalina as on your profile, let's try and organize your library:

  1. Go to Apple Music app.
  2. In the Menu bar, go to File > Library > Organize Library.
  3. Check Consolidate Files.
  4. Click Ok.

That should make sure all your tracks are in the media folder to transfer.

If you haven't tried this already, try removing all content from your iPhone. Use the sync option to remove the library from your iPhone.

After deleting everything, try copying it back again:

Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad

Let us know if that gets the tracks copied over and working. Are the tracks that are having issues playable locally on your iMac?
