Mac Pro Late 2013 Slow Boot Up

I notice it takes about 4 minutes for my machine to boot up. removed alot of files and then tried to boot with my external drives disconnected and still same problem, according to the Get Info I have 215.3GB LEFT on my 2TB Hard Drive. What steps do I take to correct this?

did you enable TRIM?

if its not an Apple-brand drive, you need to enable TRIM. MacOS creates about 9 GB of files every Startup.

An SSD drive without TRIM AND all blocks previously written at least once, slows WAY down.

in Terminal:

sudo trimforce enable press return and enter your password (which will not be echoed)

here is an article that does not get lost in superfluous side-issues:

Once TRIM is enabled and you have done all the required restarts there is one more step to reap the increased speed.

Restart your Mac in Safe Mode (not Recovery) and repair disk. late in the process, this feeds the FreeList to the drive as TRIM commands, and the message 'Trimming unused blocks' appears in the messages. Very satisfying.
