140W power adapter

I just bought a 2023 Macbook Pro 16" (M2 pro chip) ... The included charger is the 140W power adapter and USB-C to magsafe 3 charger. Is there any risk to using a 96W power adapter to charge via a USB-C to USB-C cable? Asking being the 96W power adapter does not list the newest M2 Pro model under "compatibility."

Is there any charging combination to avoid?

the 140 watt power adapter has the additional feature that it can Fast-Charge, but ONLY using MagSafe. USB-C charge cables are limited to 100 Watts.

An apple power adapter of around 100 watts is a perfectly good way to charge that MacBook Pro.
