Reconnect old iPod nano
I recently found my old Nano 5th generation which had been missing for years. I have reloaded iTunes to my PC. I have coppied the entire Nano files to my 'C' drive.
So how do I get it connected to PC?
Windows, Windows 10

Hello,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We'd like to share the following user manual with you. It shows you how to use your iPod nano 4th gen. Click here: iPod nano - User Guide
On page 13, it states the following:
To connect iPod nano to your computer:
Plug the included Dock Connector to USB Cable into a high-powered USB 2.0 port on your computer, and then connect the other end to iPod nano.
If you have an iPod dock, you can connect the cable to a USB 2.0 port on your computer, connect the other end to the dock, and then put iPod nano in the dock.
The Dock Connector cable is no longer sold on Apple's website. You might have to search for it using third-party resellers.
We hope this information is helpful. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Best of luck.

The Old Fart,
Here’s an article that goes over how to import media to iTunes. Import media from a computer to iTunes on PC We’ve included below the specific steps for easy access -
Get media into iTunes
1. In the iTunes app on your PC, choose File > Add File to Library or Add Folder to Library.
2. Locate a file or folder, then click Open.
If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.
Tip: You can also drag a file or folder from the desktop to the iTunes window to import it.
When you import an item by dragging it to the iTunes window or choosing File > Add File to Library, a reference (or “pointer”) to the item—not the item itself—is placed in the iTunes folder. You might not be able to play songs if you move the references to them.
Thanks.
I have managed to just plug my Nano into a USB port where I can see all of the files. Then just doing a simple Copy and Paste I coppied all files onto my PC's 'C' Drive.
This was easy perhaps because no DRM could arrive since all tracks were from my CD's.
I now have all files on PC. The only files that would appear to matter would be the music folder with names .like Fo1, Fo2,Fo3 ect.
What files do I need to link these files to iTunes itself?
