I have such a setup:
Mac Studio -> Studio Display <- Macbook Pro M1
I have already tried several KVM switches but non of them worked. I say several topics here about KVMs but all of them are at least a year old so I was wondering if there are any updates in this field may be some new tested and proven solutions.
Studio Display
To use a high-end Thunderbolt Display, you MUST use a genuine Thunderbolt cable, and that cable must be rated for 40 G bits/sec, and it must have under 1.5 meters total length.
I suggest you not hold your breath waiting for a solution.
I'm fine with using such a cable but what KVM switch can support it? Because the ones I tried didn't work even with genuine Apple cable

total length of ALL wiring, including wiring on both ends AND inside the switch must total under 0.5 meter total. that is never going to be available.
what might be available, someday, is a thunderbolt hub that accepts multiple hosts. But don't hold your breath on that one either.
The cheap and simple solution, available today, is to re-plug the cord. Done.
