How do I keep my Wifi turned off?

I have an ethernet connect directly for internet, but the WiFi is constantly trying to still connect. When I choose to turn it off, it just turns itself back on again after a few seconds. How can I keep it disabled?

In network preferences move the Ethernet to the top of the list and move the wifi lower in the list of networks. This will cause the Ethernet to always be used when available.

If you really want to turn off wifi, follow these instructions: Change Wi-Fi settings on Mac - Apple Support (MK)
