Volume limit on iPad removed?

When you have a child with autism (ASD) many cannot wear headphones and use volume limit feature. Apple used to have volume limit feature in settings that they inexplicably removed (key feature to protect ears of all children too and parents sanity). I’m hoping someone at Apple can have empathy and not ignore the needs of people with special needs…put feature back in software.

This doesn’t answer or address the question. I can provide feedback (and have without resolution), but the feature removal is what is of concern. Many ASD children have sensory issues…especially with their ears. I have kept my iPad up to date with software and regretting that decision since the feature was removed with a software update. I understand this doesn’t impact a majority of your customers, but this directly impacts customers that have disabilities.

Hi ConcernedAutismParent,

Thanks for being part of Apple Support Communities. We'd understand that you'd like to see the volume limit feature returned to Screen Time. We'd like to help point you in the right direction for help with this.

Since this option appears to have changed to Reduce Loud Sounds, you can leave feedback about this change here: Product Feedback - Apple

This will allow the Apple Engineers know how important this is to you and why. Changes can come about after leaving feedback. Moving forward, we'd recommend that you keep your iPad up to date since that's how most changes are delivered to a device.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Take care!
