Adding new Google account in Mail not working

I'm trying to add a new Google account in Mail. Add Account, select Google, then next screen is just spinning wheel that doesn't resolve. Monterey 12.4. I have other Google accounts already with no issues.

Unable to add Google account So I’ve had my Vision Pro for about eight months now and I’ve never been able to add my Google account in order to access my Gmail through the Mail app. I know this was a widespread issue under visionOS one so I was hoping this would be fixed under visionOS 2 but it still doesn’t work for me. It seems that it’s working for most people, but it still doesn’t work for me. Every time I go to the Mail app settings to add Google, I authenticate and it seems like near the very last step the window just disappears and nothing happens. I just tried to completely reset my device and still the same issue. what could be causing this? I’m on visionOS 2.2. Is anyone else still experiencing this issue? My Google account shows that visionOS has access to my Google account, but it never shows up under visionOS.

I found a simple solution from another similar question that worked. I changed my default browser from Chrome to Safari and tried again. Worked like a charm.
