I am downloading apps but they are not showing up on my home screen I can search for them and find them but I need them present when I look for them

Go to the App Library (swipe left past your last home screen). From there you can touch and hold an app and slide it left back to the home screen.
For the future, go to Settings > Home Screen and select "Add to Home Screen."
