Home button audible click 8s

My home button has started making an audible click type noise like older iPhones when pressed. It’s not every time but it’s definitely more than 80%. Help?

Duolingo clicking sounds Using 14 Pro Max on 16.5.1 Every time I use Duolingo, there’s a clicking sound (chk-chk) nonstop, intermittently. My daughter who also uses the iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 16.5.1, too, on Duolingo, doesn’t have this problem. Anybody with the same issue as mine? It’s distracting and a turn off! Is my new iPhone defective???

I guess that it could be wearing out. Have it checked.
