APFS Volume Macintosh-Data zeroed-out block error

I have Monterey 12.6.2 running fine and started the installation of Ventura, unfortunately the process failed due to a System Storage Verify or Repair Error. Checking all the volumes with Disk Utility it was found that the Macintosh-Data volume has an error, viz:

error: (oid 0x6fbd5) apfs_extentref: btn: found zeroed-out block

First Aid fails to correct the error, ditto fsck in all modes; normal, safe and single user.

First Aid, however, confirms that the container, Macintosh, is healthy and error free. Likewise the Macintosh volume.

It is frustrating that I cannot upgrade my system because of this, nor can I fix it due to lack of action on the part of the manufacturer to release any tools or procedures to do so. If I want to upgrade I'll have to reformat the whole drive and reinstall from backup all the data, what to speak of the hours already spent on this problem; researching, testing, running First Aid, fsck, rebooting into different options, etc. In 2023 should we not be able to expect more than this from a hard- and software vendor of this size? Additionally, I have a strong feeling that my system and data would be safer on a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) file system, and would much prefer in the future to install the latest OS using that filesystem, rather than the default and forced APFS. Would this be a possibility? Can anyone kindly explain how to override system installation default to APFS?

Thanks.

I had to reformat the drive and start afresh. No other option available thanks to Apple's lack of help. I imagine that the zeroed-out block occurred due to a momentary power outage, which happen here in Brazil often enough. Someone will say that I have to have a backup power supply and put the onus on me, as if it is my own fault. I've already been down that road, the batteries in those things only last about a year and only provide from 40 seconds and diminishing of security. If you notice the power cut out, you have to immediately go into a mad scramble to quit out of everything and shut down ASAP, and if your battery is 8 months old you will only have about 23 seconds to do so. Then you are forced to go out of your way every 12 months to buy a new battery and strip the unit down to install it. If only the manufacturer cared for their customers and provided tooling to fix their software all this would not be necessary. But in a world where totalitarian control is the order of the day, coupled with planned obsolescence, where the exact opposite happens and the manufacturer shifts from a heavy-handed control posture to one of complete neglect and the earliest rejection possible of whatever falls outside their tight support timeline window. It makes us wonder if these entities come from the same human race as us and not some other hateful, greedy and nasty region of the universe. Mr. Jobs was no angel himself but he was not this bad by a long shot.
