Printer keeps going offline

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer that I've been using, without problem, for over a year. Starting three days ago, the printer keeps being unavailable. When I go to Printers & Scanners in Preferences, it says that it's offline. I've now gone through three cycles of uninstalling, and resetting the printer, and reinstalling it. It then works for a while, but after a few hours it says that it's offline again. The HP Smart App claims that it's online, and I can print on it using the HP email method. I'm running OSX 12.3, but the last update was a few weeks ago. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I checked if there is a firmware update. It said that I'm up to date. I've tried to contact HP Support but they've been very unhelpful (a great understatement). I seem to be able to revive the printer briefly, but removing it from Printers & Scanners. Half the time, I can't add it back (it doesn't show up in the list of printers), and I have to do a factory reset, and network reset and reinstall via the HP Smart App. When I do that, it also takes 1/2 hour (!) for the drivers to show up. This is very frustrating. It would be really nice if there were some diagonstic programs available.
